Ufuk Mekanik recognizes that its construction, infrastructure, engineering, maintenance, procurement, supply and logistics activities may interact with the environment. This policy establishes the principles used to prevent pollution, manage environmental risk, use resources responsibly and support continual improvement.
02POLICY SECTIONScope
This policy applies to company employees, offices, warehouses, workshops, project sites, vehicles, equipment, subcontractors and relevant suppliers operating under the company’s control or on its behalf. Where legal, client or contractual requirements are more stringent, the more stringent requirement applies.

- Comply with applicable environmental laws, permits, client standards and contractual requirements.
- Identify environmental aspects, impacts and risks before new projects, significant activities or operational changes.
- Prevent pollution, spills, uncontrolled releases and contamination of soil, groundwater and surface water.
- Use energy, fuel, water and materials responsibly and improve efficiency where practical.
- Apply the waste hierarchy: prevention, reduction, reuse, recycling, recovery and responsible disposal.
- Manage hazardous materials through suitable identification, Safety Data Sheets, labelling, storage, handling and spill controls.
- Consider environmental performance, durability, recyclable content and reduced packaging in procurement decisions where feasible.

04POLICY SECTIONResponsibilities
Company management provides direction and assigns responsibilities. Project managers and designated personnel implement applicable controls. Employees, subcontractors and relevant suppliers are expected to follow environmental requirements applicable to their activities and report spills, leaks, incidents and uncontrolled risks.
05POLICY SECTIONMonitoring & Review
Environmental performance may include electricity, fuel and water consumption, waste generation and recycling, environmental incidents, training and supplier or packaging practices. The policy is reviewed periodically and when significant legal, operational, organizational, client or environmental changes occur.
